Egypt Travel Advisory Group, the advisory group that advises on travel in Egypt, has issued a travel advisory for travelers in the country, advising that they “should be vigilant about their security.”
The travel advisory issued on Thursday states that the “threat from terrorists is real and we are seeing an increase in the number of attacks.”
The advisory is the latest in a series issued by the Egyptian travel advisory group since September.
In the first weeks of 2018, the group issued a list of travel advisories for travelers to “take precautions for themselves and for their families and friends.”
Earlier this year, the travel advisory also advised travelers to take steps to ensure their electronic devices are secured, and to not use credit cards or bank accounts.
The advisory states that there are some “high risk areas,” and that “the threat from terrorists” is “increasing.”
The travel advisory advises that “all travelers should consider not taking any risk to themselves or their families or friends.”
